Beautiful Fat Lava candle holder by Anke Van Ginhoven. Originally from the Netherlands, Anke has been a well established potter in the Eastern Townships of Quebec since the late 1960's. This piece has fantastic mid century aesthetics reminiscent of West German pottery from this period. Candle holder consists of 2 pieces, base with a 3/4" candle slot and cylindrical candle sleeve with round openings. Red Clay with burnt slate glaze finish on exterior and bright red gloss glaze on interior.
Piece is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Very clean some minor wax residue on base.
