BUSSELTON / AU | Balga Wood Handcrafted Container

A handcrafted Balga wood, or grass tree, lidded container from Busselton, Western Australia. Its rich, dark chocolate-brown colour and naturally textured finish give it a warm, earthy look. Balga wood is not a true wood but rather a natural resin embede stem that hardens to a wood like structure. Considered on of the most important plants by the Wandadi people due to its many uses. Jar is in excellent pre-owned condition with very gentle wear, no chips or cracks. Original label with archaic name for grass tree still attached to base. It is included as part of items history.
