Carol Southward handbuilt brutalist stoneware lidded container with etched sculptured waterfall design. This is a beautiful stoneware pottery container. Carol Southward established a pottery studio on Salt Spring in 1967, She held a Master of Fine Arts in Ceramics from Puget Sound University, where she studied under Carlton Ball. Her works were sold through various Island galleries, as well as her own studio / gallery in Mill Bay which she established in 1974 with fellow potter Bertha Martin.
