Ian Steele (1937-2011) studio pottery tea pot. Tea pot is in great shape but is missing lid, light gray ash glaze with iron oxide brushed bamboo stalk design. Marked on bottom edge with Steele’s “IS” chop. Vancouver School of Art Graduate 1961, apprenticed with Bernard Leach in St Ives 63-65 and as a staff potter until 1969. Ran his own pottery on Vancouver Island in Nanoose in the 1970's and in Chudleigh, Devon England
CONDITION: Excellent condition, light wear, but is missing lid. No chips, cracks or repairs, very clean little to no staining.
