Ant Eater wood carving made in Novo Airão, Brazil. These are very finely made wood carvings likely made from Itauba or Cumaru hardwoods (coloquialli known as Ironwood) found in the Amazon basin. Carvings have great detailing and character than most other ironwood animals we have handled. Piece is marked on base "Eliana 27"
