Large studio pottery candle holder with intricate cut out design. Slate black glaze over rich dark brown clay. Interior glaze is white and iron wash. Piece was made by Mary Osborne (1907-1994) an early ceramist with her husband Leonard Osborne in the budding BC pottery scene of the 1950's and 60's. Their Works were featured in national and international exhibitions in Montreal, Brussels, and Paris. Please note piece has a small hairline crack which can be hard to see in certain lighting conditions.
