Vintage perpetual calendar and pen holder mounted on an angular rectangular base with abalone pāua shell fragments set in acrylic. The shell catches the light in shades of blue, green, and turquoise, contrasting with the gold-tone fittings. With adjustable month, date, and day displays, date adjustment works perfectly. Calendar cylinder is made from metal while pen holder is plastic. The rolling calendar mechanism has a brass finish with black detailing and red lettering for Sunday. In very good pre-owned condition with light surface wear and some finish wear to the pen holder.
