A beautiful piece of Quinchamali pottery from the 1950's-60's attributed to Práxedes Caro who is considered one of the most important artists in the history of Quinchamali art of the 20th century.  Quinchimali pottery is characterized by its black glaze with white etched accents, this traditional pottery dates back centuries within the mestizo cultural tradition of central Chile.

A recent 2023 MAPA exhibition highlighted the importance and influence of Práxedes Caro's art in Chilean culture.

CONDITION:
Excellent Condition- wear is consistent with age and history.
No chips, cracks or repairs
Very clean, some dust residue, very few if any marks or scratches.
