Fantastic Marius Bessone free form fat lava abstract art pottery vase made in Vallauris France. This is a superb example of studio-crafted mid century art pottery from the 1960's with mixed styles including fat lava and abstract pop art elements. The "Sea Foam" decoration, colorful abstract designs and volcanic textures are all evocative of the Bessone style. Piece is marked on base " Vallauris Fait Main" Piece is in very good condition, has one small chip on under side of rim (see photo). There also 2 thin glaze marks on top edge and one glaze pop on orange raised bubble on side (see photos)
