Vintage Mexican terracotta face Candle or incense burner from the 1960s–1970s. Piece combines folk art from Tonalá or Tlaquepaque with mid-century style. Hand-thrown with salt glaze, piece features detailed facial designs inspired by Pre-Columbian art. Designed to hold candles or incense, the piece has a natural patina, adding to their rustic look. Originally made as decorative objects, they bring a distinctive touch to eclectic or vintage interiors. Piece is marked "Made in Mexico" on the base. This piece has particularly fine facial details including chin, nose and eye details.
CONDITION:
Excellent Condition- wear is consistent with age and history.
No chips, cracks or repairs
Very clean, very few if any marks or scratches.
